Vintage photographs are prints that were developed on 18 x 24 cm argentic photo paper by Christian Rose himself in his laboratory in Paris (from 1965 to 2000). Vintage prints were used in album covers, magazines or books and have the publisher’s marks and annotations as well as the Christian Rose stamp on the back.
Collectors have recently shown more and more interest towards these vintage prints at auction sales held by Ghislaine Kapandji and Elie Morhange at the Paris Drouot auction house.
